Bonniejean Kay Crist, age 67, succumbed to injuries sustained from her valiant 20 year battle with breast cancer. She passed away peacefully on her birthday Tuesday, April 16, 2024. She was born in Columbus, Ohio on April 16, 1957. Bonniejean is survived by her beloved husband of 43 years, Thomas Crist; loving children, Miranda Crist, Stephanie Simpkins, Nicholas (Shannon McDaniel) Crist, Zachary Crist; grandchildren, Adrienne, Savannah, Hunter, Logan, Sawyer, Noah, Nolan, Madelynn, Pierson, Ezra, Amelia; siblings, Georgeanna (Leo) Rivera, Kevin (Chris) Mossman, Katrina Mossman, Shaun (Jude) Mossman, Angela Rivera-Nieves, Sherry Boso; parents, George and RoseMarie Mossman; mother-in-law, Lois Crist; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Bonniejean was a passionate and well-loved elementary school teacher for over 25 years. Her influence reached many children, even outside of the schools. She earned her Masters degree in Education and was also a proud alumna of THE Ohio State University. She considered the family she created as her life’s greatest achievement. In her free time, BJ, as she was known by friends, could often be found tending to the vegetable garden with her husband or spending time with her grandchildren. The love she had for teaching and helping children was only rivaled by her love for her family and the Ohio State Buckeyes. She will always be remembered by all who knew her for her kind smile, mischievous sense of humor, and adoring personality.

Friends and family may visit Dwayne R. Spence Funeral Home 550 Hill Rd N, Pickerington, OH 43147 on Saturday, April 27, 2024, from 12-2pm. A memorial celebration of life will follow the visitation in the funeral home beginning at 2pm.
