Bonnie's obituary
Bonnie Storrs died on September 6, 2025 at the age of 65.
Bonnie was born in Queens, New York in 1960. Shortly after, her family moved to Tucson, Arizona, where she spent her childhood until 1973 when her family relocated to Butte, Montana. After 4 years in Butte, she moved to Great Falls where she graduated from CM Russell High School. After attending the University of Montana, she spent time living in the Pacific Northwest until moving back to Tucson in 1991 to be closer to family.
Bonnie made a career for herself in the finance industry where she excelled in her work as a mortgage lending officer. Bonnie was an avid dog lover and throughout her life adopted many dogs whom she loved dearly. She had a penchant for creamy desserts, including everything from crème brûlée to panna cotta.
Bonnie was preceded in death by her grandparents, Andrew and Regina Thompson; and Ralph and Eva Scalpone; her father Robert Thompson; her mother, Barbara Malmquist; her brother, Scott Thompson; and her stepbrother, Bill Malmquist.
She is survived by her stepfather, David Malmquist; brother Victor (Christina) Thompson; stepsister, Rebecca New; her sisters in law, Janet Thompson and Doris Malmquist; daughters, Brittni (Ben) Rawlins and Marissa Storrs (Ken Smith); nieces, Priscilla New and Autumn Malmquist. Bonnie was a proud grandparent to Blaire Rawlins.
It was Bonnie’s wish that her remains will be donated to Southwest Institute for Bio-Advancement (SWIBA) in lieu of a funeral. Her daughters invite you to privately celebrate Bonnie in your own way.
