Bonnie's obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing away of our Mother, Bonnie Ogle, on January 20, 2024. Bonnie was born on August 3, 1945, and throughout her life, she touched many lives with her fun-loving, adventurous spirit, and the memorable competence she instilled in her children.
Bonnie is survived by her daughters, LeeAnn Gruber and Teresa Stuva; her sister Corann LeBold (sp Chuck LeBold); and her brother Bob Faulkner (sp Alice Faulkner). She also leaves behind a legacy in her loving grandchildren: Paul Stuva (sp. Chelsea Stuva), Cassandra Brown (sp Jake Brown), Chris Moore (sp Olivia Moore), Timothy Stuva (sp Amanda Sobotta), Chelsea Grant (sp Dane grant) and Alan Ott (sp Britni Ott). Her Great grandchildren Conway Stanley, Finley Brown, Akasha Moore, Natalie Grant, Brandon Ott, and Alexander Ott.
In life, Bonnie was predeceased by her daughter, Pauline Price, her brothers, Dewey Morris and Lawrence (Sonny) Faulkner, her sisters, Susie (Lorraine) Stockham, Letha Faulkner, and Nancy Montgomery, as well as her parents, Leona Morris (Brown) and Frank Morris.
Bonnie was a proud attendee of James Madison in the early 1960's. She built a career at Kaiser Permanente, starting in 1977 and remarkably dedicating herself to her role until her retirement in 2009. One of Bonnie's greatest Memories that she often recalled fondly was winning a dance competition in the fifth grade with Jimmy Bradshaw.
Those who knew Bonnie well will remember her love for Gardening, painting, shopping, fresh veggies, sweet potato, rib eye steak, baked fried chicken dinner, and pecan pie, among other comfort foods. She loved family dinners especially during the holidays. Her favorite authors ranged from Catherine Coulter to Robert Jordan, and J.K. Rowling to E.L. James. She had a love for music, particularly the classics including Creedence Clearwater Revival, Queen, Etta James, Stevie Nicks and Frank Sinatra, among many others. In her downtime, she was often found watching her favorite TV shows such as The Incredible Dr. Pol, Guys Grocery Games, or movies, including Outlander, Miracle on 34th Street, It's a Wonderful Life, Shrek, and the Harry Potter series.
Bonnie enjoyed walks and walking her beloved dog, Tinkerbell. She had a great fondness for beach vacations, particularly in Hawaii. She was also loved the Blazers and enjoyed a good game of Spades or Yahtzee. One of her favorite activities was planning her next meals while watching food network and surfing the net for recipes.
Her love for animals was evident, and she also cared deeply about her Union, SEIU. With a keen eye for matching outfits, she was always ready for an adventure. Bonnie was known for her patience (HA-HA) and often shared this virtue with her loved ones (Giggle). Her legacy of competent and independent children is a testament to the remarkable woman that she was.
As we remember Bonnie, we are reminded of her love for her children and grandchildren, parades, and her passion for art, particularly Monet and Thomas Kincaid. Her love for gardens especially English gardens. She will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate to know her.
