Bonnie's obituary
Bonnie will always be remembered by her love for others. After leaving Bellingham High School, she moved to Seattle continuing classes at Seattle Community College, then taking a job as an office manager at Midway Elementary School. She met and married Stan Miller and they were married for twenty-six years. They raised four beautiful and successful children in DesMoines, WA. Scott (Heather) of Snohomish, Shara (Jeff) of Tacoma, Shelli (Dave) of Tacoma, Stan (Vicky) of Maple Valley.
She and her late husband Bill (Hermi), along with his daughter Tami enjoyed many fun adventures with her 10 grandchildren. A few fun adventures included train trips, sleepovers and above all else “Camp Naniland” Many summers, all her grandchildren, Brittany, Dan, Tiffany, Jeremy, Molly, Kyle, Kaitlyn, Ashley, Billy and Jessica thoroughly enjoyed their 4th of July celebrations at CAMP NANILAND. For several years in a row, Nani entered the Warrenton, OR 4th of July parade with her grandchildren as a main attraction. The grands were always dressed in excellent 4th of July themes, riding their bikes, rollerblading or throwing candy out from Nani’s truck that had been made into an amazing Parade Float. The Warrenton Town Council awarded Nani’s grandchildren with beautiful Plaques or Trophies for their top notch 4th of July Spirit. Often, her grandchildren would spend weekends with her, camping in her back yard and cooking their meals together on Nani’s Coleman Stove.
Bonnie was also a Great-Nani too. She had six great grandchildren Kayden, Luccio, Asher, Elias, Eliana, and Ainsley. Bonnie and her mother Verna moved to live closer to her children in Maple Valley. Her mother passed away in 2004.
Bonnie lived in Maple Valley for sixteen years. She attended Maple Valley Presbyterian Church, and was a member of Christians Woman’s Ministries. Bonnie volunteered at Highline Hospital Emergency and worked at Puyallup Play-care Center and Catholic Community Services.
Bonnie will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Thank you, Mom, Nani and Great Nani; We all love you and will live to honor you all our days.
Donations may be made in Bonnie’s name to the American Heart Association.
