Bonnie's obituary

Bonnie Kay Lowry (Perslicka) age 76, died Wednesday, August 31, 2022 at Bethany Manor in Story City, Iowa. She was born August 18, 1946. The daughter of Verna Perslicka and later adopted by Howard and Rhoda Henriksen of Harlan, Iowa. 

Bonnie went on to graduate from Harlan High School in 1965 as an honor student. After graduating from high school, Bonnie went on to pursue beauty school and later met her first husband James (Jim) Stewart Lowry.  They were married for 27 years and had 4 sons, Jason, Chris, Aaron and Evan. Bonnie was raised with a hard work ethic, which she instilled in her sons.  Often working nights and weekends to help support her family.  

Bonnie was a dedicated member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She loved people and serving those in need. She enjoyed listening to others and sharing her stories with family and friends. 

Bonnie was predeceased by her birth mother Verna Perslicka, adopted father Howard Henriksen, sister Peggy Henriksen, and oldest son Jason Lowry.

She is survived by her children: Chris (Lacy) Lowry of Iowa City, IA, Aaron Lowry of Story City, IA, and Evan (Lori) Lowry of Gretna, NE and 12 grandchildren; mother Rhoda Henriksen; brothers: Randy, Ron, Patricia (LaVern), Charlie (Molly) Henrisken, & other Relatives & Friends
