Bonnie's obituary
Bonnie Joyce Bolash-Hollandsworth, born on September 16, 1949, left us on March 17, 2024, leaving a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished family recipes. Bonnie had a zest for life and a wit that brought joy to those around her. She lived by the philosophy that actions bear consequences and the golden rule of treating people the way you want to be treated.
One of her greatest accomplishments and sources of pride was her family. She is survived by her loving daughters, Holli Hollandsworth and Stacy Dotson (Fate); her loving son, Ryon Hollandsworth (Paige Kemp); her brother, John Bolash (Pumpkin) ; her sisters, Barbara Kuhn and Laureen Bolash; and her precious grandchildren Dylan and Emma Jones and a precious baby boy arriving in May (Ryon and Paige). She was predeceased by her siblings, Sally Bolash-Grey, Thomas Bolash, James Bolash, and Michael Bolash.
Among the many things Bonnie enjoyed, food held a special place in her heart. She loved fish fries, stuffed cabbage, a good salad, and she was known for her refreshing beverages like ice water, Faygo cola, and iced coffee. Her love for Bingo and Scrabble created many fun memories, and those who knew her best could always guess her favorite TV shows: Price is Right, Wheel of Fortune, and Family Feud. She had an affinity for country music with Garth Brooks and Kenny Rogers being her favorites. Her favorite movies were the classic, Roadhouse and Dirty Dancing.
Her grandchildren, children, and bonus kids, were her world. Over the years, she has passed down cooking skills and numerous recipes to her loved ones, something that they will continue to cherish. Bonnie had a radiant personality that was both witty and funny.
Bonnie will be remembered for her loving heart, infectious laughter, and the valuable life lessons she imparted. Her legacy of love, compassion, delicious recipes, and the joy of helping others will continue to live on through her family and everyone she touched throughout her remarkable life.
