Bonnie L. Elliott (Burt)

Bonnie Elliott, 72, of Lebanon, OR, passed away on July 21 after a valiant battle with cancer.

Bonnie was born on March 22, 1949 to Delmar and Brenda Burt in Toledo, OR. On November 18, 1968 she welcomed her first daughter into this world and on January 14, 1977 she welcomed twin baby girls, All of whom she treasured throughout her life. Bonnie had many adventures in her career life, but settled with that of being a caregiver. She loved being a caregiver and helping others. Her heart of gold and her unshakeable faith in God made this her perfect way to serve. It was her calling.

Bonnie was a devoted mother, grandmother, aunt, sister, and daughter. She took great pride in her family, always keeping family first and treasuring every moment she spent with them. I think her sister Stacey says it best “Bonnie was a true believer of God, a lover of her daughters, an adorer of her grandchildren, and the biggest admirer of her Great Granddaughter, Maya. She was loyal, honest, and sometimes painfully optimistic…. Her heart was always pure. “

Bonnie is survived by her father, Delmar Burt, sister Stacey Lary, brother Kevin Burt, daughters Jennifer Joslin, Rebecca Joslin, Jaime Joslin, 7 grandchildren who were the light of her life, 1 great grandchild whom she cherished deeply, and many nieces and nephews whom she held very dear to her heart. Bonnie was preceded in death by her Mother, Brenda and her Sister, Lonnie Tuma.

A service will be held on Thursday, July 29 at 1:00pm at the 1st United Methodist Church in Lebanon, Oregon.
