My condolences to the family and friends of Mrs. Allen.

I often thought about Mrs. Allen. She was my kindergarten and first grade teacher for the short time I attended Keenan Elementary, 1974-1975. Now, the Internet has delivered an answer.

Sitting on the rug for our daily storytime was always an adventure. Mrs. Allen used an array of voices to bring life to the stories.

I later used her art lessons to teach my students. The hearts made with crepe paper and the braided cinnamon-scented wall hanging were my favorites.

What a blessing to have had over ninety years of life's lessons to share.

My condolences to the family. Grandma Bonnie was the most sweetest person, with the biggest heart. It was an honor to know her. She will be missed dearly. Xoxo
