Bonita Ann (Bonnie) Seymour, 81, of Boyertown, Pennsylvania, went home to be with her Lord on February 8, 2024. Bonita was born on July 24, 1942, to the late Harold and Jenny (Flicker) Bauer in Pottstown, PA. After graduating from Boyertown Area Senior High School in 1960, she went to Kutztown University to study Elementary Education. She married her high school sweetheart, Drake Seymour, on July 27, 1963. They were married for 60 years. After obtaining her teaching degree, she began her career in the Boyertown Area School District where she was a teacher for 33.5 years.

Bonita enjoyed reading and was never seen without a book in hand. She loved cooking and serving meals for her family and often hosted college friends of her sons. Drake and Bonita had two sons, Todd (Marsha) Seymour of Kingwood, WV and Jeffrey (Deborah) Seymour of Stroudsburg, PA. She attended every sports game they played and was a loving and caring mother.

After retiring from teaching, she volunteered for after school tutoring programs, served on the board of several non-profit organizations, and volunteered in her local church. She was known for her generous and kind-hearted nature, which touched the lives of all who were fortunate enough to know her.

She is survived by her sister, Patricia (Larry) Reightneour, her husband, two sons and their wives, seven grandchildren, Meredith (Benjamin) Russell, Elizabeth (Dominic) Grigore, Michelle Seymour, Rebekah Seymour, Ryan Seymour, Evan Seymour, Emma Seymour, and two great grandsons, Ezra and James Russell.

A celebration of life service is scheduled for Saturday, March 9 at Calvary Christian Center, 426 Laurelwood Road, Pottstown, PA 19465. Guests will be received from 10-11 am with the service beginning at 11 am. All are welcome to attend.
