Joy was born in Birmingham Alabama on May 9th 1958 to William and Wilma Lindsey. She was married to Richard Mullen December 14th 1985. Together, they had two bright, beautiful daughters, Jessica and Lindsey Mullen. She was a proud grandmother to Makayla Byrd, Mackenzie Turner, Chase Massey, Mackenna Mullen, and Jaxson Massey. She is survived by her sister, Dianne Stout and husband David “Mike” Stout and in-laws, Bobbie Mullen, Nancy Mullen Justice, Philip Mullen, and Stephen Mullen. She will be missed by many nieces and nephews as well.

Joy loved spending time outside tending her numerous plants and flowers. She also enjoyed coloring intricate designs, crocheting, and doing puzzles. She will be remembered by many as a kind, beautiful, and giving soul.
