Bonita Kay Epperly, 81, passed away on April 10, 2026.

She was born in Independence, Missouri on Jan. 30, 1945 to Kenneth Ivan and Juanita Epperly. She spent much of her life in Valejo, California. Bonita built several close friendships that meant a great deal to her.

She is remembered for her love of her dogs, who brought her companionship and much joy, and for the friendships she maintained throughout her life. Those who knew her appreciated her humor and resilience.

She is survived by her son, Richard Dean Christianson.

She was preceded in death by her sons, Darren Lee Thompson Christianson and Brian Keith Christianson, and her parents.

A private service is planned for a later date. Bonita will be remembered in her own way by those whose lives she touched.
