Bobby's obituary
Bobby "Bob" Reese, lovingly known as Brother Bob, was born on September 21, 1936, in Columbus, GA, and peacefully passed away on October 5, 2002. His personality as a loving family man shone through in every aspect of his life, and he was deeply cherished by all who came to know him.
Bobby is survived by his devoted wife, Elaine Nicholson Reese, and his sons, Charles and Patrick Reese. Among those who will always carry Bobby's memory in their hearts are his loving daughters-in-law, Rebecca McCoy Reese and Jennifer Brooks Reese, and his adoring grandchildren: Logan Reese, Selena Spain, Brian Michaux, and David Michaux, and, nieces, Susan Luttrell, Scott, and Sherry Luttrell Humphries. He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Gray Reese, and his mother, Lois Christine Beavers. Following him in death was his sister Peggy Reese Luttrell and her husband, B.E. Luttrell, Jr.
Bobby’s life was rich with achievements and service. He was a proud graduate of Jordan High School in Columbus, GA, and attended Georgia Southwestern College. He went on to graduate from Baptist Bible Institute, Graceville, FL. Bobby served with honor and devotion as a Baptist minister for 28 years, serving three churches in AL: New Ebenezer in Elba, Mt. Carmel in Dadeville, and Camp Hill Baptist in Camp Hill. He further broadened his service to mankind as a state-certified addictions counselor and was rightly admired for his commitment to helping others.
Bobby's life was a testament to his love for the people God had called him to serve. His legacy of love, service, and dedication will always be remembered and cherished by all those who knew him. His commitment to his family, church, and community will continue to inspire future generations.
A funeral service to honor the life of Bobby was held on October 8, 2002, at 11:00 AM at the Langley Funeral Home in Camp Hill, AL. Burial was in Camp Hill City Cemetery. We find solace in knowing his love and spirit will forever remain in our hearts.
