Bobby's obituary

Bobby “Al” Alan Chrisman

November 10, 1959 – November 27, 2024

Bobby “Al” Alan Chrisman, of Sevierville, Tennessee, passed away surrounded by love and family. Born on November 10, 1959, in Athens, Tennessee, Bobby lived a life defined by hard work, devotion, and a fiery spirit that brought joy to those around him.

He shared an extraordinary bond with his wife and soulmate, Edwina Joyce Chrisman. Together for over 30 years, their love was a testament to partnership and laughter, with Bobby always finding ways to make her smile.

Bobby’s greatest joy came from his family, especially his four granddaughters: Brittany (Colton), Tori (Kevin), Madeline (Austin), and Marley. He delighted in being their biggest cheerleader, and they, in turn, cherished their “Papaw.” His legacy lives on in his five great-grandchildren: Layla, Ericka, Colson, Carter, and Olivia. He also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who loved him dearly and will forever remember his lively spirit.

He is survived by his beloved mother, Gayle Chrisman, son Jacob Chrisman (Sydni), sister Lisa, and Kristin Voth (Adam). Bobby was preceded in death by his father, Bobby Joe Chrisman, and his sister Teresa, whose memories he carried with him every day.

A master of his craft, Bobby spent his life as a rock mason. Known for his unparalleled skill, he built beauty and strength with his hands, always working tirelessly to support his family.

Bobby was a firecracker with a quick wit and a knack for saying just the right thing to make others laugh. He found peace in tending to the yard of his cabin, where he created a sanctuary for himself and his loved ones. Anyone who tells a story about Bobby will tell you about a man who was wild and free, well into his life.

Above all, Bobby’s life was a celebration of love, resilience, and family. His warmth, humor, and dedication will be deeply missed but never forgotten.

The family will host a Celebration of Life for Bobby on Saturday, December 7, 2024 at 3pm at 3-in-1 Baptist church in Dandridge, TN. 3000 Caywood Rd, Dandridge, TN 37725
