Bobbie's obituary
Bobbie Pulley, born June 27, 1937, passed away peacefully on April 25, 2025. She leaves behind a cherished circle of family: her devoted husband, Bobby A. Pulley; her loving children, Cindy Matthews and husband David Matthews, Michael Meadows, Robert S Pulley and wife Kimberly Pulley, Jacquelyn Pulley and Bobby Pulley and wife Debbie Pulley ; and her dear sister, Janet Powell. She has many grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert "Bob" and Ethel Mae Canady. She was also preceded by her sisters Joy, Katherine, and Kay and brothers Steve and Wayne.
In 1970, Bobbie embarked on a fulfilling career as a medical assistant for Dr. Gary B. Garison, a role in which she poured her heart and soul, deeply impacting the lives of those she assisted. Her faith was a cornerstone in her life, and she was a frequent attendee of Green Springs Baptist, where she also sang in the adult choir. Bobbie was a keen follower of news and politics, and was a fervent supporter of the UNC basketball and baseball teams.
Bobbie’s favorite pastimes included watching sports, gardening, and solving Sudoku puzzles. She cherished her visits to Sunset Beach, drawn to its serene sunsets. Her favorite color, green, reflected her love for life and nature.
Bobbie’s personality was nothing short of radiant. She was bubbly, witty, accepting, and loving. She had a knack for offering the best advice without passing judgment, and one of her greatest accomplishments was striving relentlessly to improve the lives of others. Bobbie was genuine, generous, and caring—a beacon of love and compassion.
In her passing, Bobbie leaves behind a rich legacy. She has now found her rest in heaven, rejoicing in the company of angels, engaging in cheerful conversations and indulging in her beloved Sudoku. Her spirit, her love, and her ideals live on in those who were privileged to know her.
