Bobbie's obituary

 On Friday, February 16, 2024, Bobbie Ann (Hercules) Hartwig, age 82, was reunited with her loving husband and best friend of 62 years, Carl. Bobbie was born in Kansas City, Missouri on January 8, 1942 to Mary (Jefferson) and John Hercules.  Bobbie passed away peacefully in Princeton, TX. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and her grandson, John Hartwig.

Bobbie is survived by her three children, Carl Hartwig Jr. of Princeton, Lynne (Russell) Trotter of Roanoke and Wayne Hartwig of Waco, her grandchildren and her two siblings, Jane Meyer and Everett Downs as well as several nieces and nephews.

Bobbie absolutely adored her grandchildren and was an active presence in each of their lives from the moment they were born. Jeanette Burton, Jennifer Sampson, Bubba (Sheena) Askew, Sarah (Jason) Carter, Justin (Christa) Askew,  Erick Hartwig and Weslee Hartwig.

Bobbie was blessed with 15 great grandchildren, Nicholas, Elizabeth and Zachary Askew, Dakota, Jordan, Andrew and Morgan Carter, Addison and Kennedy Hartwig, Erick Hartwig Jr., Justin and Everett Sampson, Amber Trotter and Savannah and Jonathan Wilson. Bobbie was also blessed with five great-great grandchildren, Landry, Brynnleigh and Nathaniel Askew, Skylar Askew and Athena Casarez.

Bobbie was a longtime member of the First United Methodist Church of Princeton until it closed and she then joined the Cowboy Church of Collin County. Bobbie was an active member of the Emmaus Community as well as her church.

Goodbye is not forever, goodbye is not the end. It simply means we will miss you until we meet again. 

Memorial Service is scheduled for Saturday, March 30, 2024 at 12:00 pm in the Wilson Chapel Cemetery in Lowry Crossing.
