Bobbie's obituary

               Bobbie Farnsworth 

Born May 20,1942 passed away unexpectedly On February 13,2024 at the age of 81. He was residing at Marshall's Nursing Home in Machias. He was predeceased by his parents Charles and May Farnsworth of Addison. His wife Lela (Dorr) Farnsworth, his son Denny of Addison, and his grandson Robert Farnsworth Jr  of Calais. Sisters : Audrey Lewis,  Joyce Davis  Dolly Jordan.  Brothers: Wyman, Charles and John.  He is survived by his son Robert Farnsworth Sr.  wife Michelle of Calais, and daughter Julie Merchant of Addison, his sister Darlene Dowling of Harrington. Four grandkids and five great grandkids, several nieces and nephews. Bobbie grew up in Indian River and went to school in Addison.  He did self employment, he worked as a carpenter on the Machias Hospital, he worked for Wymans's Blueberry Factory.  He worked and owned his own trash truck business for well over 50 years.  He enjoyed talking with everyone on his stops.  When he retired from the business, he then would take his best friend, his dog, on trips around town to stop and chat with family and friends.  He loved the times he spent and talked with his family and friends.  Later at the nursing home he enjoyed his friends that visited and the times his son took him home to visit Indian River.  He will be greatly remembered for his smile, the twinkle in his eyes and generosity and love to all that met him. Services will be held in April.
