Bob's obituary
Bob is cherished and adored by his daughter, granddaughter’s, goddaughter’s, mother-in-law, sister's-in-law, brother’s-in-law, aunt, cousin, nieces & nephews, best friend and an extended Ohana of genuine friends - Bob, loved all of us so well.
His awesome bear hugs, brissly-mustache kisses, easy manner, open heart and kind spirit welcomed everyone (even dogs) that he encountered along his life-journey and all felt better about themselves for their path’s having crossed his (even dogs). Bob was sturdy, steady and firmly grounded, like a rock among us. He walked slowly and while some men move fast and furiously trying to gather all the things they think might bring happiness, Bob accumulated people, authentic joy (and dogs) and all of the sweetest love, while he was out walking slowly.
All of us that love Bob and were impacted by the manner in which he lived; with bravery, respect, caring, generosity, patience, unconditional love and loyalty, will aspire to display these pillars of character in ourselves and ours, as so to honor this gentle man.
A memorial ceremony for Bob will be held on Monday, January 13th, 1pm, at Maui Veterans Cemetery, in Makawao. Casual Aloha attire – just as Bob would have it. :)
