In lieu of flowers

Please consider a contribution to Bob's Dream Garden for VA Community Center.

Background

For the past five years, my Dad was fortunate to call the Veterans Community Living Center at Fitzsimons his home. It was a place where he found happiness, forged friendships that became like family to us, and left lasting impressions on everyone he encountered. Among his many passions, one of Dad's greatest wishes was to enhance the garden and patio space he so dearly loved.

Dad was a tireless advocate for beautifying the garden, advocating for additions like bird feeders and baths during the monthly "Community Improvement Ideas" meetings. Before he passed, we were discussing his vision for the garden's next project. He imagined planting aromatic herbs like rosemary, sage, and mint, believing that everyone should delight in the fragrance of fresh herbs.

Countless afternoons were spent with Dad on the patio, whether enjoying lunch with the grandkids or engaged in conversations over a glass of wine. Few things brought him more joy than watching birds flock to the feeders he carefully selected for them.

If you would like to contribute towards bringing my Dad's vision of his dream garden to life at the VA Community Home, I kindly ask that you consider donating in memory of my Dad. Your donation will help bring his vision to life by creating a lasting tribute to his memory that will continue to bring joy to others for years to come.

Thank you for considering this heartfelt gesture.

With Love,
Chrissy Crumpley (Loop)
