Bob took the wedding picture of Pam & I, posted last year. Many in the other wedding pictures have passed, too. How to be remembered; kindness, laughter and love by those we touched. I hope to offer that to those who remain.
Bob and I were about a year removed from High School (Cupertino HS). We had a mutual friend who had connections at Harvey's Casino at South Shore Tahoe. We were offered jobs as car hops. Minimum wage plus tips. We seriously thought about it, at least up and until Bob's Dad, Harlan, had a nice talk with us. He explained things to us that we had not considered, the pros, cons, etc. Mr. Beavers talked us out of it, but in a way that didn't come across as "No"! Wise choice from a wise man, the things we could have experienced (seedy side of life in a gambling town) were best left alone. Mr Beavers was a class act, his smile and laugh something I will always remember. Can't believe its been a year since Bob's passing. You are missed, dear friend! God Bless you and you family.
I became friends with Bob while we worked part-time for Home Depot in South Reno. We kept in contact after his move to Oregon, and I enjoyed our texts and phone conversations. We will miss Bob. Rest In Peace.. Darrell Garland
I met Bob at a church function back when we were kids at Blaney Ave Church of Christ in Cupertino, CA (1966). We grew up together as kids in puberty, adolescence and into early manhood. We were best men for each other at our weddings. No one could have had a better friend. I am proud to have known this man and his family, the best of the best. My life is better for having known him. There will be a vacuum in my life with Bob's passing. A part of my soul has gone with him. I will see you again dear friend!! You were like the brother I never had. God bless and keep you now and forever. Charlie West
Bob did the wedding pictures for Pam and I. They lived near us in Campbell until moving to Lake Tahoe. Laurie and I grew up in Santa Clara together. I visited in December 2019 on my way to Seattle, everyone was there. Bob was always the same guy. He loved Jesus.
