Mike and Terri
My sister, Doris, recently sent me an obituary for Dennis Spencer which made me think of the old Gibbs-Cook crew from Fort Dodge. I had seen your parents years ago at one of the Gibbs-Cook get-togethers when Mom (Darleen Thompson) was visiting. Denny's obit made me think of your parents and I came across their obituary. I am so sorry for your loss. What a wonderful life and love story they had. I have wonderful memories of the Gibbs-Cook families. My sincere condolences for your loss. I hope your wonderful memories bring you comfort. ❤️ Carol Thompson Lennon

Dear Michael, Teresa, Karen, and family of Bob and Mary Thompson.
Betty and I wish to extend our most sincere condolences to each of you at the passing of our good friends and fellow church members Mary and Bob Thompson. We sat together four rows apart for over 50 years at First Baptist Church. Bob and Mary were extremely active in our church, teaching ,decorating the church, serving on committees, and in particular, as greeters as they were always so positive upbeat, and a breath of fresh air. Their love for each other was very obvious and what a blessing that they passed, but four hours apart on their way to heaven, I can see them hooking up before they got there.
Our thoughts and prayers will be with each of you in the days and months that lie ahead. No doubt in our minds that both Bob and Mary are now in heaven, smiling down upon us all.

My condolences to Bob and Mary's family. They were wonderful people and in-laws. Bob could cook a mean steak and fierce smoking hot shrimp cocktail sauce for New Years Eve. Bob was instrumental in teaching much of his family to play cribbage and won more than his share of games. They were very special, kind and thoughtful people. They will be missed.
