Blue's obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Blue "Boo Boo" Stewart/Tolbert, lovingly known as Blue, on July 11, 2025. Born on July 4, 2010, Blue was a spirited dog who marked every life she touched in her short but memorable 15 years on this earth. Blue was a beloved attendee at JoJo’s back porch, a Christian Place of Worship, where she found joy in community and spirituality.
Blue had an exquisite taste in all aspects of life. She was a dedicated fan of The Rolling Stones, often finding solace in their music amidst life’s tumults. The book 'My Name is Blue' held a special place in her heart, perhaps for its resonance with her own life. An art admirer, she greatly appreciated the works of VanGho, often finding herself lost in their depth and beauty.
Her enthusiasms extended to various activities; she found relaxation in napping and walking while her favorite exercise involved Zoomies. She held a deep love for sports, with the Crimson Tide being her most cherished team. An avid viewer of the TV show 'Friends', she also enjoyed watching performances on Animal Planet.
Blue was fortunate to have spent her holidays in some of her favorite spots which included the beach. Locally, she was frequently seen at Tractor Supply and Pet Smart, places she deeply cherished. Her humanitarian spirit is reflected in the causes she supported, including ASPCA and Chipley Animal Shelter.
Her personality was a vibrant blend of bubbliness and wild enthusiasm. She loved her family deeply and found joy in running and chasing rabbits. Blue was also a woman of wisdom, her life mantra being “Don’t judge a book by it’s cover…”. Her achievements stand testimony to her capacity to love and be loved, values she held close to her heart.
The legacy Blue leaves behind is one of kindness and love. Her love for the color blue was reflective of her larger than life personality that filled a room with warmth, radiance, and excitement. Blue's life may have been short, but the impact she had on everyone who knew her was profound.
She will be greatly missed. Her bark, her love for life, her companionship, her passion for those she cared about - everything that made her the wonderful dog that she was. Our hearts are heavy, yet they are filled with the beautiful memories that Blue has left us with, ensuring that her spirit continues to live on.
