Billy "the Kid" Sanders of Stonewall, LA passed away on January 21, 2024. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 3, 2024 at 2:30 P.M. at Pathway to the Cross Baptist Church, 8948 Greenwood Rd., Greenwood, LA.

Billy was born on February 16, 1964 to parents Ronald Sanders and Janelle Reames. He graduated from Huntington High School in 1983. He married his wife, Melody Sanders, on October 31, 1986. Billy served his country in the Louisiana National Guard from 1982 to 1988. He was an avid decorated biker. Billy was a partial owner of a Dallas bar, owned his own motorcycle repair shop, and knife manufacturing company. In his spare time, Billy enjoyed his favorite hobbies and spending time with family.

Billy is survived in death by spouse, Melody Sanders; children Melissa Vailes and spouse Matthew, Beverly Sather and spouse Shannon, Billie Sanders, Summer Sanders and partner Ashlyne; grandchildren Timothy Sanders, Mason Sather, Neveah Wright, Austin Wright, Ava Sather, Martha Sanders, and Olivia Vailes, father Jerry Reames Sr.; siblings Rhonda Canter, Jerry Reames Jr., Bryan Sanders, Cecilia Reames, Chad Sanders, and Justin Reames; and sister in law Amanda Norris. He will also be missed by numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Billy is preceded in death by parents Ronald Sanders and Janelle Reames, in-laws Thomas Norris Sr. and Martha Gaston; sister Jennifer Sanders; and brother-in-law Thomas "Tank" Norris Jr.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests charitable donations are made in Billy's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or to Shriners Children's Hospital.
