It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Mr. Billy Patton, who was born on June 30, 1942 and left us all too soon on August 24, 2023. A beloved father and friend, Billy's warmth and compassion touched all who knew him. His zest for life and unwavering positivity will be missed, but never forgotten. 

Billy accepted Christ at an early age. Bily loved the Lord, his wife, kids, fishing, gardening, exercise, hiking and reading the bible.

Billy departed this life on August 24, 2023. He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Patton; two brothers, Philander Dickerson and George Patton; a son, Freddie Allen Winston; and a grandson Andre Johnson. 

He is survived by Willie Louise Thomas and a brother, Waymon Lee Patton; beloved children Joseph Darby Jr., Andre Darby (Yvonne Collier), Christine Darby (Zach Anderson), Ursula Darby, Anthony Darby (Deeva Darby-deceased) Jason Darby Sr. (Carol); 14 grandchildren, and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, church family and friends. Let us honor his memory by embracing his spirit of kindness and generosity. 

Billy's life was a testament to the power of Christ, love and the strength of the human spirit. He will forever be in our hearts.
