Billy Lee Gordon: October 2, 1961- November 4,2023

ANDERSON - Billy Lee Gordon, 62, of Anderson, passed away on Nov. 4, 2023, surrounded by his family. 

He was born on Oct. 2, 1961, in Council Bluffs, Iowa and resided most of his life in Anderson. 

Billy was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend. 

Billy enjoyed bowling in leagues for over 20 years. He also enjoyed watching his daughters play sports and helping in the pits at the Anderson Motor Speedway. 

A dedicated truck drive, he was known for his strong work ethic and his warm, friendly personality. He retired from R & L Carriers after 29 years of service. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Merril Truman Gordon, and Clima Carr; and his siblings Steve Boyer, David Gordon, Brian Gordon, and Althea Reeves.

Billy is survived by his wife of 42 years, Tammy Gordon; his children Daisha Peek (Kwuan), Daidra Jagger (Jarred), and Devoney Gordon (Jason); his son by choice Michael Smith (Amy); his grandchildren Skyler (Bridget), Christina, Kryztal, Kenzi, Devin, Landon, Little Mikey, Jayvon, Jayisha, Jaycion, and Zaxtyn; his siblings Danny Boyer (Mary), Dollie Merritt, and Jane Gordon; and several nieces and nephews. 

Funeral services will be at 4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 12, 2023, at Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, 200 W. 53rd St., with visitation from 2-4 p.m.

Memorial gifts may be made for funeral expenses or to the Alzheimer's Association.
