Billy's obituary
Springfield Oregon — It is with great sadness that the family of Billy Don Hopkins announces he passed away of age related causes on March 17, 2026 at the age of 78.
A private memorial service was held by his family in Florence Oregon on April 5, 2026. Billy was born January 19, 1948 in Los Angeles California to Jacob and Elsie Hopkins. He is survived by his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and two sisters. He had many different careers but he was most known for his entrepreneurship in the food industry as a lunch truck driver, in music production, in computer repair and networking, in hazardous tree removal and in environmental protection broadcasting. He also invented a cane for the blind that had audio gps access narration. He also had a Captain's license which allowed him to captain many ships, most notably the Lake Arrowhead Queen, in Lake Arrowhead California. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Greenhill Humane Society in Eugene Oregon because of his lifelong love of dogs. He will be greatly missed and the memories of him will live in our hearts forever.
