Billee's obituary
We lost our Billee early on the morning of December 31st. She passed in the arms of her adoring husband in their small cabin in Mason County. Her small body could no longer hold her large spirit.
Billee was born and came of age in Alamogordo New Mexico, the youngest in a family of funny, hardworking and creative people. As a teenager, she was an accomplished ballerina, and loved the pine forested mountains surrounding her hometown. She moved to Austin TX, where she eventually met Henry, and bravely brought her whole self into that epic love, forging a family and home with their girls.
Billee wove a life filled with humor, fun, celebration, a love of animals, great stories and spiritual connection. Birds healed under her touch; children hung at her elbows to see what great new magic she would make; the sick reached out for her care and always received it. She exuded kindness and generosity, yet was also tough as nails. Everyone close to her was convinced they were her favorite. Even those she first met were ready to tell her their life story and their deepest troubles. Her compassion was unrestrained. She was your biggest fan and was proud of you.
Of all the people who loved her and will miss her, we include her family - Henry Moore, her husband of 34 years. Her daughters, Shannon Martinez (Eddie), Jayme Bomben (Ross), Sarah Laja (Peep), and Lily Moore. Her sister, Betty (Trinket) Smith, and brother, Jim Folan (Beverly). Her nephew Joshua Folan, who mirrored her soul, and his wife Jasmine. Her nine grandchildren Alex, Ava, Jayda, Karys, Hayden, Kaeton, Luca, Nyah and Amelia who will carry her light out into the world. Her sister-in-law Susan Sickmann (Tom) and her many nieces, nephews, and friends - two legged, four legged, and feathered.
The family will have a private memorial for her. Thank you for all your support and encouragement. In lieu of flowers please consider a contribution to the Austin Waldorf School in her memory https://austinwaldorf.org/sup… or by calling 512-288-5942 x 110.
