Personal note from Catherine Wells

My father was always in my corner. He loved learning new things. The Northwoods of Wisconsin was always a special place to him. He cared about the enviroment, maintaining natural habitats for the wildlife. Although he was a very successful businessman in California he felt most at home in Libertyville his childhood home. There he was just Billy Wells a kid from Libertyville.

Obituary

William G. Wells was born in Libertyville, Illinois during the depression. He attended Libertyville Highschool and went on to graduate law school from the University of Illinois. He then went on to enlist in the Marine Corp. officer training program in Quantico, West Virginia. After graduating he was stationed at the Marine Corp base at camp Pendleton, Oceanside, Ca. He married Sheila Bittman whom is also from Illinois and had two daughters Pamela Wells M.D. …

My father's funeral was held on April 25th,2020 at Burnett Dane Funeral Home - Libertyville. Illinois. Afterwards we drove to Lakeside Cemetary for the internment. It was a cold, rainy day but by the end of the day the sun came out and there was the most beautiful pink sunset.
