It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Billy Ray Medley, a devoted father and proud veteran. Billy was born on July 8th, 1952, in Knoxville, Tennessee. His life was marked by courage, dedication, and an unwavering commitment to his family and his country.
At the age of 18, Billy joined the Marines and served two tours in Vietnam, where he demonstrated extraordinary bravery in the face of adversity. He earned numerous commendations for his service, including the Purple Heart and the Bronze Star.
After returning from Vietnam, Billy settled in his hometown of Knoxville and began a career as a construction worker, eventually starting his own contracting company. He was respected by his colleagues and admired for his strong work ethic and unwavering dedication to his craft.
Throughout his life, Billy remained a devoted father to his children. He is survived by his sons Jack, Reno, and Lindell, and his daughter Novie, as well as his 10 beloved grandchildren. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Billy Ray Medley will always be remembered as a true American hero, a dedicated father, and a loyal friend. His legacy will live on in the hearts and minds of those who were fortunate enough to know him.
