Jan, Cliff and I are in complete shock. Bill was a good guy and a good friend. Even though we had moved away it was such a sense of normalcy and comfort just knowing that The Hawkins family were still there to pick up where we left off. We are so sad. Hang in there. Bill may not be here physically but will always be with you, your family and friends.
Jan, I am so, so sorry to hear of Bill's passing. He was one of a kind and loved by everybody who knew him. I will always remember his big smile, his stories, and his willingness to help anybody and everybody. I know personally that it's hard losing your husband. You and Bill got married two weeks after Fritz and I did, and that's a long time--52 years. I know Bill loved the Lord, and he showed it. I will always remember the time that I said something about an event at his church, and he said "It's not my church; it's the Lord's church." I said, "I stand corrected, and you are right. It's the Lord's church." You, Brian, Matt, and the whole family have my sympathy and prayers, May you be comforted by the many wonderful memories of the time you had together.

Deepest sympathy to the Hawkins Family. It was my honor to have known Bill. attended high school basketball games with him, and to have managed Matt in Pacific Youth Association baseball. R.I.P. my friend.
I am so sorry for your loss. It has been a while since I had the pleasure of visiting with Mr. Hawkins, but I remember him fondly from when Brandon and Jenna attended MVECC. He built such a loving a sweet family and legacy. You are in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. Lisa Weirich ("Ms. Lisa")
So saddened by Bill's passing! Bill was truly a wonderful friend to everyone! He always had humorous stories to tell and was always very interesting to talk to. He loved genealogy and was always eager to help you with your family history. He will be missed by many! The Facebook memorial page projects the love Bill had for his family and their love of him. You can just feel the love looking at the pictures of him and his family!
