Obituary
Bill Choate, the best grandpa in the world, passed away on October 17th with his daughter at his bedside. He was 76.
At the age of one, Bill moved to Homer with his parents and four older siblings. The year was 1947, when Homer was a much smaller and more isolated community. He was the fifth of what would eventually be eight kids. With few economic opportunities, and even fewer fellow Native families, the time …
