It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Beverly Jane Tooman-Longley, age 79, of Rogers, Arkansas, on August 26, 2025. Born in Ann Arbor, Michigan, on January 12, 1946, Beverly lived a life filled with adventure, passion, and love.
Beverly was a woman of many talents and interests. She had a love for the open road, often seen riding her Harley-Davidson with the wind in her hair, a reflection of her free spirit. Her vibrant purple hair was as iconic as her strong, yet few, words that always carried weight. A dedicated member of her community, she spent over 50 years as part of the Moose Lodge, where she made lifelong friends and shared countless memories, as a woman of the Moose member college of regions she received her cap and gown and red stow. She was also an active member of a local Harley club, further exemplifying her zest for life.
In addition to her love for motorcycles, Beverly enjoyed shooting pool and was a passionate volunteer at Pig Trail Harley. Whether on the road or at the lodge, her infectious personality and loyalty to those around her made a lasting impression.
Beverly's love for her family and friends was undeniable. She is preceded in death by her parents, Milton Tooman and Martha Whitmer-Tooman, her brother, James Tooman, as well as her niece Barbra Griffin, and her three husbands, Leo, David, and Terry. Beverly is survived by her children, Tina Schofield, LeeAnn (Richard) Irby, and Todd (Kelly) Whitlock; her grandchildren, Sarah, Austin, Andrew, Everett, Sammy, and Mason; her great-grandson, Jerson; her nephew Sean Griffin and Niece Tracy Tooman-Hazard. She is also survived by her beloved German Shepherd, Xena, and her best friend of 65 years, Linda Woodcum Olson-Krupa.
Beverly was a proud graduate of Milan High School, Class of 1965, and spent 30 years driving a school bus in Michigan before retiring and moving to Rogers, Arkansas, where she enjoyed the peaceful life of the Ozarks for the past 20 years.
A celebration of life will be held on September 13, 2025, at 2:00 PM at the Moose Lodge in Lowell, Arkansas. We invite all who knew and loved Beverly to join us in remembering a remarkable woman whose spirit, strength, and love will never be forgotten. Please wear purple in memory of Beverly.
