Loved Beverly for her leadership of the Trubadores.  First singing group I was ever part of. I loved all of the Smith girls.

I write this feeling very sad.  "Bev" was a dear friend along with her entire family since our high school days.  She was one of the most talented ladies I have ever known.  She and her sister, Tina, performed beautiful church music programs...Bev on the organ and Tina on the piano.  I will always remember Bev's smile, laughter,  and just fun being with her and Tommy at Blackbeard's  AHS alumni quarterly get togethers.  She starred in the production of "Camelot" in Columbus and was terrific.   She will always be a star shining down from Heaven.  I miss talking with you sweet friend!

My heart goes out to Beverly's family and friends. She had a wonderful personality and was always an encouragement to me. I particularly enjoyed working with her on the Albany High Times newsletter, "News and Clues". I enjoy writing, and this gave me an opportunity to express it. I also knew Tommy and was so happy for them when they married! We enjoyed dinners together at the Blackbeard's gatherings and the beach. God bless you all, and give you peace at this most difficult time.

Beverly has always held a special place in my heart. We met at Newcomer’s club in Columbus, Ga.. After leaving Ga. we visited some over the years in Atlanta, and the last time she and Tommy met me at my family’s condo at Perdido Key, Fl.. we kept up our friendship by mail, then email. My ex-husband saw on Facebook about her dying…I don’t do social media sites. A year ago I realized she was having memory problem. I’m struggling with vision issues, and didn’t write again, but she was remembered often. She was my role model. I lost my husband in 2003 before she and Tommy married.  Hopefully I can watch the service online, through my daughter’s Facebook account.
