Beverly Jean (Borger) Check, 76, of Pleasant Mount, PA, passed away on Saturday March 04, 2023. She was the wife of James Lee Check.  They were married for 55 years.

Born in Bethlehem, PA on February 24, 1947 she was the daughter of the late Shirley (Renfer) and Franklin Borger, Jr.

 After graduating from Liberty High School in 1965, she went on to study Home Economics at Mansfield State College for one year. Bev's first job was as a men's department buyer for Hess Brothers in Allentown, Pa. She went on to pursue many different carreers including a buyer at  Zollinger's Department Store, manager of Piece Goods Shop, stay at home mom, school instructional aide and finally a book keeper for Christmas City Printing. 

Bev met Jim at the age of 16 in homeroom at Liberty HS. They married on September 9, 1967.  The couple lived in Teaticket, MA while Jim served in the Air Force before returning to Bethlehem, PA to raise their family. They had one child, Jennifer R. Henning. When Beverly had Jenny, she decided to dedicate her life to being a fantastic and wonderful mother. 

Bev was passionate about sewing and cooking, but also snowmobiling late into the night and dancing to juke box music.  She loved sharing her passion with her family.  After retiring to their "cabin in the woods", Bev enjoyed watching the snow fall, feeding the hummingbirds, playing Scrabble, entertaining friends, and being with her husband, daughter, son-in-law, grandchildren, and her dog Ally .

 Beverly was predeceased by her sister Barbara Maholick. She leaves behind, her husband James; daughter Jennifer, wife of Steven Henning; sister Nancy, wife of John Holzwarth; grandchildren Adam James and Lily Anne.

There will be a celebration of life with family and friends this May.
