BEVERLY's obituary
January 29, 1938 – September 29, 2021
Beverly Jane Bruckner (nee Lemmert) of Tequesta, FL, died peacefully on September 29, 2021. Beverly was born to the late G. Marshall Lemmert and Audrey V. Lemmert (Humbertson) on January 29, 1938, in Cumberland, MD. She was a happy and precocious child who often entertained her family and neighbors by singing and dancing on the top of a kitchen table, surrounded by her fans. Growing up in Lewistown, PA, Beverly was a good student and would work in her father’s shoe store after school and in the summer, along with her mother and her younger brother. Her beauty and talent were made evident when at 18, Beverly won the Miss Susquehanna Valley Beauty Pageant and went on to participate in the Miss Pennsylvania Pageant. After high school, Beverly entered the nursing program at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, and became a Registered Nurse at age 20. After marriage and raising three children in Devon, PA, Beverly continued to work as a nurse, caring for others as she cared for her family. She was a member of St. Monica Catholic Church in Berwyn, PA. Left to remember her love are her husband, William Bruckner of Tequesta, FL, her brother George “Brub” Lemmert (Karen Mellinger) of Charlotte, NC, and her children William Bruckner, Jr. of N. Palm Beach, FL, Caroline O’Brien (Lou O’Brien) of St. Augustine, FL, and Andrew Bruckner (Chris Egizio) of Haverford, PA. She relished her role as “Muzzie” to her five grandchildren: Jessica, Julia, Ali, Cliff, and Mia. Beverly was an avid bridge player, loved entertaining, caring for her orchids, and spending time with her ever-growing family. The family is eternally grateful for all her friends at Riverbend and her aids for their efforts, thoughts, and prayers. A funeral mass will be held for Beverly at St. Jude Catholic Church, Tequesta, FL, on Friday, Oct. 8 at 1:00pm. She will then be laid to rest at Riverside Memorial Cemetery in Tequesta, FL, where her widowed husband plans to walk and visit her daily. The internment will be private.
