I Remember Beverly
Beverly was a bright and imaginative child. She was reading and writing books before she entered school. She loved classical music and had a thirst for knowledge. Reading the encyclopedia was a favorite past time for young Beverly. Her favorite ice-cream was chocolate (though she also loved rainbow sherbert). She had a sweet tooth, especially when it came to red licorice and chocolate.
Beverly was a prolific writer. She was very serious about education, and was a perfectionist in all school endeavors. When reading research she not only devoured the articles, but read all the footnotes and supplementary material in the appendix.
Beverly's youthful love for cats was replaced by her devotion to her beloved chinchillas.
Beverly's life was forever changed as a result of her motorcycle accident in California. She returned to Philadelphia to fulfill her desire for a college education. She worked hard to secure a degree in psychology from Vassar, graduating first in her class.
She met and married Bruce and made a home for them in Philadelphia. Shortly after their marriage Bruce and Beverly brought a new life into the world. Lauren brought laughter and love into their lives.
But Beverly was aching to return to California, a lifelong dream. When an opportunity arose, Bruce and Beverly transferred their jobs to California, with Lauren and the chinchillas. I was sad to see them relocate so far away. Bev organized the San Diego IANDS group and devoted her time to this organization. She worked diligently to share her experiences with others and support people who shared her beliefs.
I will miss my dear Sister.

A chance conversation at a coffee shop where I brought up that I had an NDE as 6 year old,Β by drowning and then... I was later introduced to Beverly and San Diego NDE.Β She was special to me, always easy to be with her I met several important people through her. The important thing is; that she was a friend, that I was a friend. It's hard not being able to talk with her or visit with her. She had a kind heart and a sense of humor. I want toΒ Thank Beverly for helping me and Bruce for giving me a hand.

I can believe she is gone, we shared IANDS experiences and joined in the group for Β many years, I remember her encouraging me to write my book βEverybody is a book, you should write yoursβ she said, and I havenβt done it yet, I guess I own that to her.Β

I rec'd an email asking how I met Beverly.Β I'm going thru some memory problems right nowΒ I just don't remember!!Β But I think it was something like this.Β I was the leader of the Orange County IANDS at the time and Beverly was the leader of San Diego Iands.Β I knowΒ I had watched her story on Youtube and was mesmerized.Β Her calm articulate way in which she communicated was captivatingΒ - so much so that I watched quite a few of her otherΒ videos on youtube, allΒ basically same story but it was liking hearing them for the first time .Β I invited her to speak at Orange County IANDS.Β She didn't disappoint.Β I always thought of her as one of our best speakers.Β Occasionally I see a picture of her online and can't believe she's gone.

Thank you so much for the beautiful memories and photos.Β Those of us who worked with her on her monthly presentations at Om Spiritual Center truly appreciated her leadership and contributions to our knowledge and joy.Β She is missed.Β

I just learned of Beverly's passing last November.Β She had an impact on my life, for which I am very grateful.Β We met through IANDS, both of us facilators. Beverly for the San Diego group; I for the Tustin and later Irvine group.

I was very impressed with your mom every time I met her how kind and gentle a person also a person with a great sense of humor.
I knew her mostly through working with Bruce all those years at Navilco. Of all our coworkers I was probably closer to Bruce in thought process. Your Dad was very much in love with Bev of course this was very obvious.
It's possible I first met Bev at a Navilco Christmas party though the years have worn away many of those memories.
I can't comprehend the grief and sadness you and your dad must feel. Bev will be missed and remembered as the sweet soul she was. It was a privilege to have known her no matter how briefly.
