Betty's obituary
Cremation has taken place and burial will be in Spring Run Cemetery. Hoven Funeral Home of Buchanan, Michigan handled arrangements for the family.
Betty was born on February 28, 1927 in Beausejour, Manitoba to Gustave Freund, Jr. and Pauline (Schoenfeld) Freund. Betty was number 14 of 17 children. She was a warm and giving person with a strong work ethic. On August 25, 1951 in Beausejour, Manitoba, Betty married Kenneth Zech. They lived in Michigan, eventually building a home and establishing an 80 acre fruit farm in Buchanan.
Betty is survived by one daughter; MaryAnn Kline, and two sons; Don and Wayne Zech. Besides being a wonderful mother, she was grandmother to Erin (Zech) Giles; Eric Zech, Elissa (Zech) Moore, D.J. Zech, Chris Kline, Alex Kline, Heather Kline and Dale Zech. She also had 5 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by all of her siblings, her husband and her son, Dale. Memorials in Betty's memory may be directed to Berrien Springs Trinity Lutheran Church and School.
