Betty Waltersdorf (Lisle, Illinois) went quietly in her sleep on April 13th, 2024, while visiting her family in Gold Canyon, Arizona. Family and friends are deeply shocked by the sudden passing of this one-of-a-kind personality. She was only 70 years old.

Betty was born on July 27th, 1953 to parents, Antoni and Filomena Tekien. She experienced her early childhood years amidst the rural Polish countryside in and around Mońki, her hometown in northeastern Poland. Tough …

Jennifer, Steven, and myself have made the difficult decision to postpone our mother’s memorial service, as her sudden passing is still taking an unexpected toll on all of us. Our immediate families have experienced an unimaginable amount of loss since 2020 and this is no exception. We look forward to gathering with you all in the future, as our mother would’ve wanted a big celebration of her life, but we want to honor her in the way she deserves when we are better able to properly celebrate her memory. Thank you for your understanding and support during this challenging time.
