I was so sorry to hear that Betty passed away. I learned so much from Betty and Joe during my first years at Chelsea High. Betty was so generous with her time, her wit, her hospitality and her camaraderie. She opened her home to many of us at Chelsea High. She showed me how to be a committed and happy teacher. I am saddened by her loss. She was a big part of what it means for me to be a teacher.

We were saddened to learn of Betty’s passing.  We have fond memories of the fun gatherings we had.  Joe please know you are in our thoughts and prayers.

I am so deeply grateful to Betty for all she did for me and helping me get a full time position at CHS. She took me under her wing and helped me so much. She always kept it real, advocated for the arts, her students, and teachers. I’ll never forget how welcoming she always was, with her home and time, and the fun Christmas parties she and Joe would host in their home. She was an amazing woman. I’m so sorry. Sending my love to Joe and the family. 🙏🏼

I will always remember the wonderful experiences she provided us in my sixth grade class at Shurtleff school.  May she Rest In Peace.
She was the tie that binds, the one you could always call, she gave so much to so many … irreplaceable, unforgettable.. I will miss her forever 💝

Whenever I talked with Betty, she always spoke of her wonderful children and grandchildren and how proud she was of their accomplishments. But, she couldn’t say enough good things about my brother, her wonderful husband, Joe. She bragged about how he took such good care of her and the household,  when she was so ill. He truly was the love of her life.

Cheryl, being that attentive wonderful, loving daughter and nurse, was always  there when she was needed. Betty so enjoyed being part of the Newfane Congregational Church Family and often talked about the pastor praying with her.

Most importantly, Betty told me she was right with God and knew she would be in heaven with no pain or suffering. I am envisioning Jesus embracing her along with all of those who have gone before her. No doubt, Betty is busy creating yummy new recipes or painting some fabulous art piece. I so look forward to seeing her in heaven when I go home to be with my Heavenly Father. Until then, I will have a smile on my face thinking of her.

I remember visiting Betty when she was at her parent's house in North Stratford. It has been years since I have seen her but I will never forget. My heart goes out to the family during this difficult time. RIP sweet cousin.  Harriette Levett

Betty was a mentor to me, a friend , and  was much loved.  She always made the most thoughtful gifts for the teachers in the art department. She made our art department feel like a family  and I have many happy memories of Christmas  and end of the school year parties at her house. Joe was often  seen helping out when Betty entertained. They were a great team.

Sending Betty’s family love and support.

She loved you all so much.
