I met Betty Ann over 50 years ago when my family began attending the church that she and her mother and sisters attended. I became friends with her younger sisters and my brother, Dwayne, began dating Betty Ann. After a couple of years, my family moved away, but over a decade later, she and my brother were reunited and married. I have many memories of Betty Ann, but the last few times we were able to see one another was centered around her becoming a grandmother. She was excited and dearly loved her grandson and my great nephew, Romey. I am so sorry for your loss and will keep the family in my prayers.
Betty Ann was my daughter in law for several years. I loved her and she became the mother of my oldest granddaughter. I always included her in my prayers as if she were my daughter. I will always cherish the memories of our family get togethers.
She was my 1st girlfriend. My family moved away, but, she and I were reunited years later and married. We had a daughter who had a son (Romey). She continually asked me about him and I would send pictures and tell her about taking him to breakfast or whatever we were doing. She saved me from drowning a long time ago and I guess it was for a reason... Wish I could have helped her. Miss talking to her.
I think one of my favorite memories was with Betty Ann was when Brenda and I went to see her and we all went to Saint George Island. We went out to the sandbar the water was so clear. We found sand dollars. I had never seen a live one before. The sand was white it was such a good day.
