Betty's obituary
Betty Rose Cummings, 42, passed away on February 4, 2025, in Joplin, Missouri.
Born on September 30, 1982, in Akron, Colorado, Betty brought warmth and kindness to those around her. She was known for her generous spirit and unwavering willingness to help others. Her radiant smile and compassionate nature left a lasting impression on everyone she met.
Betty is survived by her beloved sons, Van and Jacob Zeien; her mother, Debra Smith; her sister, Brandy Hagston; and her brothers, Jack and Thomas Jackson. She also leaves behind her paternal grandmother, Dorcas Lanning, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews who cherished her deeply.
She was preceded in death by her husband Paul Cummings, father, Jerald Jackson; her aunt, Kelly Penfold; her uncle, Lorne "Dino" Adler; her grandmother, Betty LaMonda; her grandfather, John Adler; her uncle, James "Jamie" Jackson; her uncle, Matt Hendrix; and her paternal stepgrandfather, Gerald Hendrix and paternal grandfather James Jackson.
A celebration of Betty’s life will be held on May 24, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Mercy Park Pavilion 1 in Joplin, Missouri (3002 St Johns Blvd).
Betty’s kindness and love will be deeply missed but forever remembered by those who had the privilege of knowing her.
