Betty O'Neill, 91, of Alameda, CA, passed away on August 11, 2022 after a valiant battle with pneumonia.

Betty was born on June 20, 1931 to Joaquim and Mary Vieira in Oakland, California.  After graduating from Fremont High School in 1949 she became a secretary for Kaiser Engineering where she met her future husband Raymond O'Neill, and they wed in 1956.  Betty was a loving mother to foster son Harry Maurer and daughter Eileen.  Betty, adored her 3 grandsons Ben, Tom and Matthew Wilson.   She was a kind and caring person and made it her mission to improve the lives of others.  We will miss her greatly.  Betty was predeceased by her parents Joaquim and Mary Vieira, her brother, Tony Lobo, and her husband Raymond O'Neill. There will be a celebration of life memorial mass on Saturday, September 10, 2022 at 1:30 p.m. at St. Joseph Basilica 1109 Chestnut Ave. Alameda, CA
