Betty Jewell (Gassett) Olsen, our loving mother, entered Heaven's Gates on June 18, 2017 surrounded by family at her home.
Betty was born in Seattle, Washington in 1930. She was an only child. She married Bernard Olsen in 1970 and united their ten children: Michael Lake, David Lake (Diana), Phyllis Claybo (Clyde), Steven Lake (Leanna), Daniel Lake, Dale Olsen, Wayne Olsen (Joann), Candy Olsen, Colleen Tanaka (Jason), and Ben Olsen (John).
Betty loved gardening and taking care of her beloved cats. She also was a care giver to the elderly and a foster parent to numerous children. Her latest endeavor was learning to navigate on the computer and printing off her own pictures..
She was preceded in death by her husband Bert and her mother Madeline Nobles.
A very special thankyou goes out to her caregivers Anna and Aura that were worth their weight in gold keeping Betty's final days bearable.
In her memory we ask for prayer to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for the sick, our leaders, and our country.
