Betty's obituary
She was born in Pontiac, Michigan on April 11, 1930 to Orville and Ruth Sowter.
The family resettled in Ann Arbor, Michigan when she was 12. She was a graduate of Ann Arbor High school and Mercy College school of nursing in Detroit, Michigan.
She married the love of her life, Gene Bennett on December 14, 1951. She worked at her profession some but spent most of her life caring for family and volunteering at the church and the children's schools.
The family moved from Ann Arbor to Lake Park, Florida and 1961 where they lived out their lives. They had been married almost 67 years when Gene passed away on November 3, 2018. They were blessed with four children, Susan (Carl) Steelfox William (Cheryl) Bennett, Mary Lou (Steve )Grupp, Thomas (Katie) Bennett.
They had 14 grandchildren, Katie Rockett, Matthew (Jordan)Steelfox, Shannon (Caleb)Booten, Colin Bennett, Haley (David) Rauch, Jillian Grupp, Laura Grupp, Rebecca (Adam) Boland, Victoria (Blake) Rook, Andrew Grupp, Taylor Shore, Abigail Bennett, Bailey, Bennett and Kyra and 10 great grandchildren.
