In addition to Ma Betty’s contagious smiles and her warm spirit, she possessed special gift of healing. Ma used herbs to cure so many people in the community.

She  was blessed with the gift of helping women who are not able to conceive to become pregnant, have babies which they called their own.

Ma Betty was very humble and did not take the credit for the gift of healing. In Her own words, Ma Betty would say, ‘ I do not have the power of my own to heal illnesses or to make a woman to conceive, give God the glory, only through His mercy, we are blessed with abundance of good health, happy family and children.’

Ma Betty was a truly an amazing fighter. Her contagious smiles surpasses all the pain and heartaches she endured. She worked hard to unite families. Her legacy will continue to live in our hearts. We will truly miss her. She deserves her reward ( a crown  in glory which she beautifully sings of ) from labor to rest. Ma Betty will be remembered for her famous quotes" Life is wealth , Careers, or Professions are Continuious process, in her own words, Le Ter Lein Gor yer, ker bou per le, Continue Tor Job" Rest on ma Betty till we meet again.
My deepest sympathy over the loss of dear Betty. May she rest in heavenly peace.

When I visited her one day, as her usual habit, she gave me a whole pack of tea bags to take some for myself. I took 70%. She went, "WHAT!!!?" I said, "Yes, but I didn't ask you for it. I was just passing by, and you willingly gave me." She said, " OKAYYY... Next time yaa".

I first met her when she arrived from the USA, in March, 2016 in Tappita. I received her at her Thomas' Hill residence.
