Betty's obituary
Betty Shelton Turner, age 97 of Roanoke, VA, went to be with her Lord and Savior on January 22, 2026.
She was a member of The Order of the Eastern Star and Rosalind Hills Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Benson Shelton and Pocahontas Blackwell Shelton; brothers Ben, Jack, and David Shelton; sister Jean Shelton Hamilton and her husband John; former husband and father of her children, Roscoe Turner; daughter-in-law Diana Brown Turner; and son Mark Cameron Turner.
She is survived by sister Kathryn Shelton Koch and her husband John (Buddy); son Allan Curtis Turner; daughter Cathy Turner Black; grandsons Christopher Turner and his wife Connie, and Kevin Black and his wife Lauren; great grandsons Greyson and Hudson; many nieces, nephews and others.
Visitation will be Saturday, February 7, 2026 from 1:30-2:00 PM at Rosalind Hills Baptist Church, followed by a Celebration of Life at 2:00, reception afterward in the Fellowship Hall.
The family would like to thank Woodland Hills Memory Care for the love and care she received there, and Gentiva Hospice for making her final days comfortable.
