Betty Smith, 70, of Justin, Texas, passed away on January 16, 2023, surrounded by her family.

Betty, born on January 11th 1953 to Peggy and Robert in Columbus, Georgia, immediately brought joy and laughter into the world. In 1970, she met Lewis and the two were inseparable from that point on. Betty and Lewis were married over 52 years and had 2 daughters, Tammy and Samantha. Betty was a fiercely dedicated mom to all of her children, grandchildren and various "adopted" kids. Family came first and was above all else to Betty, a value she instilled in all those around her. The hole left by her absence is impossible to fill.

Betty was predeceased by Peggy and Robert. She is survived by her husband Lewis, her daughters Tammy and Samantha, her grandchildren Steven, Mariah and Christopher, her brothers Billy and Jim, her sisters Elizabeth, Nina and Joyce as well as many, many nieces, nephews and other relatives that are deeply saddened by her passing.
