It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Betty Jean Marts. Born on May 7, 1862, Betty embarked on her final journey from this world on October 29, 2024. A warm soul, known for her kindness and love, she leaves behind a legacy that will forever be remembered in the hearts of those touched by her life.

A woman of steadfast principles, Betty believed strongly in the cornerstone of good manners. She imparted this knowledge to all who crossed her path, reminding us to navigate the world with respect and consideration of others. Her teachings remain a testament to her wisdom, helping those around her grow in ways great and small.

One of Betty's proudest moments was her wedding day. This monumental event not only marked the beginning of a devoted union but served as a reflection of Betty's commitment to love, endurance, and the sanctity of promises made.

Betty is survived by her husband, Morris Marts; her children, Rodrick and Melissa Bolt; 3 siblings, Patricia Nelson, Leroy Bolt, Jr. (Rita), and Michael Bolt (Melissa); 1 grandson; 2 great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by her parents, Leroy and Beulah Bolt; paternal grandparents, Christopher and Louella Bolt; 1 brother, brother-in-law, Deacon Melvin Marts.
