It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Betty Jean King, 91, of Stone Mountain, Georgia, who departed this life on September 2, 2025, surrounded by family.

Betty was born on October 5, 1933, in Navasota, Texas to Mr. and Mrs. Jim and Mamie Gilbert. She grew up in Dallas, Texas and graduated from Booker T. Washington High school and attended Wiley College.

Betty is survived by her Daughter Dedra Hill, son Larry Dwaine Wallace, their spouses, and all of her beautiful grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her sister Johnny Gilbert, and sons Ronald Eugene Andrews, and Michael Eric Andrews.

Betty will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Her final resting place will be at the Melwood Cemetery Mausoleum, in Tucker, Georgia.
