Betty's obituary

The Lord welcomed home sweet Betty Wynell Jarvis (85) who passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Tuesday, December 13, 2022 in Temple, Texas. Betty was born in Pottsville, Texas on January 9, 1937 to Ozro L. Newton and Edna S. Albrecht-Newton.  Having met Darwin Dale at a blossoming age of 16, Betty married “DD” on July 16, 1953 where she would become Mrs. Betty Jarvis, a loving mother of three and a dedicated wife for the next 69 years.  She was a devout follower of Yahweh and a faithful disciple of Jesus.  Her church congregation might also say Betty's “angel” eggs were the “talk of the town”. Betty was not only beautiful, but thoroughly loved by anyone she met, as her sweet-natured presence was without parallel. Betty was loving, selfless, humble, gentle, kind and soft-spoken.  We all enjoyed how she expressed joy, as it was a delight to see. When she was “tickled pink”, her eyebrows would raise, her mouth would open, her eyes would brighten with delight, her arms would stifle among the clenching of her hands while her feet would lightly tap-dance around and she would say “oh me!”  Some of her favorite songs were “You Raise Me Up” and “How Great Thou Art” but she always welcomed a beautiful saxophone song by Kenny G.  During her most active years, Betty maintained a flourishing garden while she also loved to plant beautiful fields of flowers to attract the hummingbirds to flutter around her feeders.  Her style was impeccable and her love was unconditional. Our most beloved Betty- Wife, Momma, Grandma, Granny, Sister, Aunt, Cousin, Neighbor, Friend, and Congregant…Rest peacefully, as heaven and those you love so dearly, await.  We will always remember the gift of time and love that you gave to us and we will sorely miss and love you always.
