So thankful to have known this special person who was married to a special brother-in-law, Ferdinand Heising.  We shared many wonderful family times.  “May the souls of the faithful departed through the mercy of God, rest in peace.”
I remember Ms. Betty and her husband Ferd as well as her great kids Kyle and Craig.  They were great role models for the Masini kids in the '70s, and I wish peace and comfort on her family members, she will be missed.
Mrs. Heising (Betty) was my elementary & jr high PE teacher in Napoleon Ohio. She was also my coache for Basketball & track at NHS. The boys were all our practices, games & meets. Her love of sport, focus on sportsmanship and passion & confidence for all her students was the reason I perused a degree in Physical Education.
I've thought & spoken of her many times over the years!!
She made everyone feel special, because in her eyes we all were a blessing!
Comfort to all that had the honor to have met her!

Aunt Betty was always enthusiastic about life and family. Enjoyed her unique personality and had many laughs with her at reunions at Grandma Dusa’s farm.

Her life well lived. My condolences.

Harold Scharp

Aunt Betty showed up and played the first rock and roll music I ever heard. Much to her older sister's horror. She will be remembered as a wonderful person and superb educator. The best!

I have cherished memories of side splitting joke marathons with Aunt Betty, Ferd and Noni Touchton at Aunt Bim’s house! Family reunions on the Dusa Farm … a tradition that has been passed on! A dimpled smile and signature laugh is what first comes to mind. Start looking for those “dimes” she will be leaving you, Kyle and Craig!

Worked only 1 year with her and saw how much she loved and was loved by everyone at CCHS. She will live on in the memories of her students and coworkers.
I will always remember Betty’s smile, sharp, compassionate wit, but most of all, her willingness to share her love and wisdom. She was a great mentor to me in our shared passion for exceptional students and adults. I am grateful to have known her! Peace and blessings to her family.
